I like to leave the boat for two or three days after the epoxy has been applied to make sure that the epoxy has set hard. Then the decks can be put back on.
When the decks are on the boat can be turned upside down and the bottom of the boat can be sanded.
If the boat it just to be a static display it is best to sand the boat to get any lumps out. If a mould is to be taken of this boat filler can be added to any low spots I normally use car body filler as this is fairly cheap and sticks pretty good.
