1. When I make the deck I like to make it at least 10m bigger that the boat so when fitting the deck it allows plenty of room for adjustment. See Picture 1
2. The deck can be screwed on down the centreline first and this puts the shear in the deck (the curve from front to back). Then around the outside and this puts the camber in the deck.
3. Now the decks can be trimmed back but leave about 1mm so it can be finished properly when you start to do the planking. See Picture 2
4. The bulkheads can now be glued to the keel. Do not glue the deck on just yet as the deck will need to be removed later for some further adjustments.
